About Crowsong

Were you a kid who pressed your face up against museum glass cases, falling in love with ancient treasures you knew you could never touch?

Me too.

I was always a little magpie, and that’s why I do what I do now; to keep goldsmithing traditions alive, and to find a way to bring these artifacts I’d always dreamed of out of history by recreating and reinterpreting them.

Crowsong Jewellery pieces are made of recycled silver and gold, and occasionally brass, copper and bronze, incorporating precious gemstones and beads.

I love jewellery that looks like amulets and talismans, and anything that feels like it could have been an archeological discovery. I like to feature ancient techniques, such as granulation, which is over 5000 years old, filigree and lost wax casting.

My work can be found for sale at the wonderful crystals and esoterica shop Portal in Leith , Edinburgh and The Leith Collective’s lovely location in Dundee.

I love doing custom work and designing jewellery working with someone else, whether this is a gift for a loved one, or something for yourself.

This could be anything from a simple request for an existing piece in a different metal, size, or gemstone stone, up to a full start to finish design process for something special, such as an engagement ring or wedding bands.

I can even often use your own sentimental gold or gemstones, so if you have an idea, or inherited jewellery that you’d like to give new life to, please don’t hesitate to contact me to arrange a chat and discuss options.
